Community elections are a vital democratic process that ensures transparency and representation within our Board. When the number of candidates vying for open seats exceeds the number of positions available, elections must be held to determine who will successfully serve on the Board.
This year, as we prepare for the 2024-2025 term, we have identified a total of five Board seats available for election. This includes four three-year terms and one renewal for a member who was previously appointed to complete an unexpired term of an open seat. It is essential that these elections take place prior to the scheduled October Board Meeting on October 10th, 2024, as this is the date when the newly elected Board members will be installed. Timely elections not only promote accountability but also empower our community to engage with and influence the leadership that governs us. As we approach this important election cycle, it is imperative that all eligible candidates and community members are aware of their roles and responsibilities in this process to ensure a fair and inclusive election. |
