Every October a new SRCC Board must be in place. New members would have been elected or existing members would have been re-elected to the Board. There are four seats expiring and two seats that must be reconfirmed. Residents who are not renters, may apply for any of the open seats. To apply, the resident must submit a letter of intent with some background on what they may bring to the association. The applicant then must bring the letter, in person, and present the letter with their identification showing they are a resident of the community to the Clubhouse Manager. The deadline for your application is August 9th. When we receive more applicants than open seats, SRCC is required to have a community election. Otherwise, the applicant will most likely be assigned an open seat. If an election is to occur, the election would be held in September and applicants will be informed of the results. More details will be provided if an election is to occur. Board Meetings are held the second Thursday of every month, unless otherwise posted. Please contact the Clubhouse if you wish to attend so that we may have ample seating. The Next SRCC Board Meetings are August 10 and September 14th Come on in! The water is fine!
Hen coops attracting pests and wildlifeRats and other rodents, raccoons, fox and coyote issues have been reported to the Steeple Run Board of Directors relating to residents who have established chicken coops in the neighborhood. SRCC has neither the resources nor authority to address this issue. Both city and county have several regulations regarding the installation and maintenance of these structures along with the exclusion of roosters and free-range fowl. Residents having a chicken or similar coop must have a permit by the city of Naperville (Animal Control Code 10-4-6) or County of DuPage (Ordinance T-1-20) depending on the homeowners' address. Further information or an expression of concern, can be obtained via County of DuPage Building & Permits at (630) 407-6700 or the City of Naperville at (630) 420-6178.
